A tweet get viral on twitter where a doctor tells how a woman 30 year old loses her eyesight due to Smartphone vision Syndrome.Are you using your mobile in dark. Stop! this immediatly unless you will face this type of syndrome. The same incident happens in Hydrabad and got the attention of the netizens when Dr.Sudir Kumar shares a case on twitter in which he tell about a 30 year old woman had vision impairment due to excessive use of smartphone in dark..

In his tweet he explained "30-year old Manju had severe disabling vision symptoms for one and half years. This included seeing floaters, blaze of intense light,  zig zag lines and at times inability to see or focus on objects," he writes and explains the condition in a series of tweets. He found out  that she had smartphone vision syndrome or SVS after reviewing her history. She used smartphones for several hours daily and used it for more than 2 hours within dark.There were specfic times when she could not see anything for several seconds. This happaned mostly at nights .But when  She was checked by an eye specialist the result was normal. She was referred to rule out neurological causes," he writes."I reviewed the history. She picked up a new habit of browsing through her smartphone for several hours daily, including 2 hours at nights with complete darkness in the room," he adds

What is Smartphone Vision Syndrome SVS:

Smartphone vision syndrome, happens due to excessive use of computers, smartphones or tablets . This can  damage and disable the vision power of the eyes. This is also known as computer vision syndrome or digital vision syndrome.

Dr Sudhir expained the pssible cause of her visual impairment and advised her to minimized the use of smartphone.She said- "instead of minimizing, I will stop looking at smartphone screen, unless absolutely necessary. In any case, my phone use is recreational," he writes.

Dr Sudhir says, the woman got recovered after one month from the disease she was suffering from it for the last 18 months.
"At 1-month review, Manju was doing great. Her euyesight issue had gone. Now, she had normal eyesight. Our suspicion was proved right," he tweets.
